Youth Academy

Momentum’s Youth Academy has plenty of opportunities catering to a wide range of athletes who are looking to enter into or advance in the sport. Through the diverse offerings of the Youth Academy, players can create their own personal season that will give the player and their families a perfect combination of quality instruction and flexibility. Through different programs, players will be exposed to weekly training, strength and conditioning, video/chalk talk, skill development through drills and play, as well as gameplay and tournaments under Youth Academy umbrella.  Check out the options below, or reach out to us!

Our Foundations Clinics run from August to May and occurs 2 nights a week (2/hrs a week).  Here players will be exposed to skill development for positions, core drills in the volleyball world, and game-like scenarios to connect all of the pieces. The consistency and quality allow families to establish a routine volleyball schedule, have flexibility if there’s a conflict, and receive quality instruction that will allow the players to advance through the Youth Academy program and feed into our club teams.

The purpose of the Fall Mizuno Prep League is to inspire and train young developing athletes in the game of volleyball.  Our goal is to simulate the club experience within a 6-week season. We understand that a full club season is a big commitment for a lot of players and families. Mondays will be half skill lab/half team practice and Wednesdays will be competitive tournament-style play.  We will have a Tryout Day and Tournament Days similar to Powers in the RMR region so our athletes can get a similar experience to club volleyball within a shorter period of time and at a lower cost.    Momentum is passionate about developing players long-term and our main goal is to get them where they want to be whether it is to prepare for their club season or making their school team.

Players can sign up individually or as a team. Each player that participates will receive a Momentum Mizuno jersey for tournament play, with prizes at the end for the winning team.   The Mizuno Prep League will continue to run YEAR-ROUND in 6-week sessions Players can practice and play 2x a week, 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off as an awesome alternative to a full club season.  Keep a lookout as we continue to roll-out sign-ups for future Prep Leagues in fall, winter, and spring.

Foundations Camp

Athletes need an opportunity to explore and create when introduced to a new sport. The Foundations program not only introduces the athletes to the fundamentals of the game, but it allows them to learn, make mistakes and grow in a fun and open environment. At this camp, players will learn the skills, concepts, and drills needed to prep them for a school or club season. After leaving camp, they’ll have the necessary foundation for wherever their volleyball journey takes them.
