Our youth volleyball has plenty of opportunities that cater to a wide range of athletes looking to enter into or advance in the sport. Through the diverse offerings of the Youth Academy, players can create their own personal season that will give the player and their families a perfect combination of quality instruction and flexibility. Players will be exposed to weekly trainings, strength and conditioning, video/chalk talk, skill development through drills and play, as well as official matches under Youth Academy umbrella.
What are Foundations?
Our Foundations trainings run from August to May and occur 2 nights a week (3/hrs a week) with the last session of every month dedicated to competing, games and prizes. Here players will be exposed to skill development for positions, core drills in the volleyball world, and game like scenarios to connect all of the pieces. The consistency and quality allows families to establish a routine volleyball schedule, have flexibility if there’s a conflict, and receive quality instruction that will all the player to advance through the Youth Academy program and eventually into our club teams.
We run two Foundations Camps (June/July) in the summer that focus on building the essential volleyball I.Q. needed to progress in the sport. With more in depth skill progressions and drills, players can gain the knowledge they’ll need in a short amount of time. Whether it’s their first time playing or their 4th season, players can learn and refine in this holistic environment.
What is Momentum Youth League?
Our premier Youth League is aimed at giving players a quality opportunity to play organized, competitive volleyball during the fall when opportunities are limited. The season will consist of practices and matches in September and October with the Youth League Championship to happen on Momentum’s Media Day prior to the official start of the season. Teams will receive jerseys, practice shirts, quality coaching and official match protocols. This is a great way for players to test their skills or prep for the season ahead.
Learning early that the best athletes in the world have a complete and holistic approach to their sport is essential. Momentum’s Boot Camps are comprised of 4 parts to give athletes exposure to the mental, physical, skill and volleyball I.Q. portions of the game. Trainings will be 3 hours long with 1 hour dedicated to physical and mental training, 1 hour comprising of skill development and 1 hour dedicated to volleyball I.Q. through chalk talks, video sessions or walk throughs. This is a great way for players to prep for the season or tryouts, add on to Foundations trainings and add another level onto their club experience.
