Vanessa Hacker

Head Coach
Current Team
13 Vanessa

Vanessa enters the 2018 – 2019 season at Momentum for her 8th year. In her 8 years of coaching and 8 years of playing, Vanessa brings a tremendous passion for the game, a dedication to professional development focused on training techniques and philosophies and a commitment to her players and teams. She is IMPACT & Safesport certified, as well as a CAPI accredited coach.

Most recently, Vanessa coached her 13’s team to a 1st place finish at the RMR Classic- 14’s Division, a top 10 finish at the Asics Presidents’ Day Classic, and a 1st place finish and bid to USAV Junior Nationals at the ASICS Show Me National Qualifier in Kansas City- USA Division.

Vanessa is a firm believer in developing and creating a culture of excellence. This culture demands trust, respect, positive attitude and discipline out of her players. Her top priority is to lead her team with desire: desire to teach the game she loves, desire to develop character on and off the court, and a desire for success. She strives to do this by creating a fundamentally driven, demanding yet fun, learning environment that challenges athletes to step out of their comfort zone and into an area where growth is possible.

When not coaching, Vanessa can be found with her head in the books because she is currently pursuing her master’s in social work at the University of Denver and interning at the Office of Alternate Defense Counsel. Unfortunately, this busy schedule does not allow her to actively play indoor or grass volleyball, but Vanessa enjoys playing when her schedule allows. Vanessa is originally from Germany but has called Colorado home since September of 2001. Just like any true Colorado native, she loves her Denver sports teams, especially the Broncos and Nuggets.
