Rachel enters her 2018 – 2019 season at Momentum for her 7th year. In her 10 years of coaching and 18 years of playing, Rachel brings a lot of love and passion for the game, as well as many years of experience coaching at different levels, and years of experience as a former collegiate player and current player. She is IMPACT & Safesport certified, as well as a CAPI and CAPII accredited coach.
Most recently, Rachel has coached her 16s team to a 1st place finish at the RMR Classic – 17s Division, a 1st place finish at the Las Vegas Classic – Open Division, a Silver Division finish at Colorado Crossroads – Open Division, and a 3rd place finish, a bid to USAV Junior Nationals at Far Westerns – USA Division, and an 11th place finish at Junior Nationals.
Rachel is a firm believer in providing players the opportunity to be able to achieve their athletic goals in an environment that is safe, positive, and educational. She believes in the power of athletics to help each player develop themselves as successful people on and off the volleyball court. Her top priorities are teaching players to have love and passion for the game, emphasizing individual player development, and teaching players to be well-rounded by instilling life skills such as responsibility, leadership, commitment, trust, and teamwork.
When not coaching, Rachel can be found working at BaxterBoo.com doing web and graphic design. She is also actively playing indoor and grass or sand doubles volleyball. Rachel is originally from Wisconsin, loves the Packers, and is a midwesterner at heart.
