Leanna enters the 2018 – 2019 season at Momentum for her 3rd year. In her 7 years of coaching and 14 years of playing, Leanna brings an effortless dedication to her players and the game, along with experience in competing and coaching at various ages/levels, and a genuine desire to emphasize the value in what volleyball can provide to players. She is IMPACT & Safesport certified.
Most recently, Leanna, has coached her 14-2s team to a 1st place finish in RMR Power 6 – 14s Div. II in 2018. While on the coaching staff at Long Island University Brooklyn in 2015, the team won the NEC Regular Season Title. Leanna is a firm believer in holding all players to the same standards on and off the court in an effort to provide guidance to her teams in reaching their goals together. Her top priorities include creating an environment where players’ passion to play can grow and strengthen without any boundaries. When stepping onto the court, Leanna believes that a player’s work ethic, effort and attitude comes from within, and as a coach it is her duty to magnify the importance of that.
When not coaching, Leanna, works as an Executive Assistant at CAA ICON in Greenwood Village. While indoor volleyball is preferred, she will occasionally step onto a grass or sand court. Leanna was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, until transplanting to San Francisco (College), Brooklyn and finally settling down in Denver. Skiing, yoga, painting and playing with her dog, tops her list of hobbies.
