Josie enters the 2018 – 2019 season at Momentum for her first year. In her first year of coaching and 10 years of playing, Josie brings collegiate experience, enthusiasm, and love for volleyball.

She is Safesport and IMPACT certified.


Most recently, Josie graduated from Saint Louis University where she played Division 1 volleyball as an outside hitter for 3 years in the Atlantic-10 conference. She is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma where she played at Bishop Kelley High School and won the State Championship in 2012 and 2013. Her senior year she was named the Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year. For club volleyball, she played for Oklahoma Peak Performance. Her team qualified for Junior Olympics every year, and won the Crossroads and Lonestar qualifiers her 15’s year.

Josie is a firm believer in creating a positive environment that is conducive for athletes to grow in their skills to reach their full potential and increase their love for the game. She also believes in the value of communication to support players in order to facilitate the achievement in their personal goals.

Her top priorities are promoting a fun, competitive, and team-first environment and providing the players with what they need to succeed, not only individually, but also as a team.

When not coaching, Josie is pursuing her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and the University of Denver. You can also find her exploring all over Denver in search of the best breakfast spots.
