Branen Berta enters the 2018 – 2019 season at Momentum for her first year. In her first year of coaching and 16 years of playing, Branen brings commitment, high knowledge of the game, and several drills from college that will improve skills in young athletes. She coached summer camps at Iowa State and Colorado University for five years.
Most recently, Branen has played D1 college volleyball for Iowa State University and the University of Colorado Boulder, was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week in 2016, Iowa State Tournament All-Tournament Team, three NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship tournament appearances, named Top 10 Libero Recruit from PrepVolleyball in 2014, back-to-back Junior Nationals Qualifier Gold Medals at Momentum and back-to-back Colorado 5A Regional Titles/5A appearances at Cherokee Trail High School.
Branen is a firm believer in providing players with maximum opportunity to accomplish their athletic goals by helping them become successful volleyball players and creating a competitive, high energy, and positive environment on and off the court. Her top priorities are teaching players the skills needed to achieve athletic goals, emphasizing individual development, and encouraging players to be responsible, trustworthy, committed, and great teammates.
When not coaching, Branen is doing her favorite hobbies, playing indoor volleyball, reading books, or watching movies. In the winter you can find her somewhere in the mountains snowboarding. She is originally from Aurora, Colorado so she loves and enjoys all things Colorado, especially watching the Broncos play with family and friends.
